DCUC.info has added some new pics of the figures from the second wave of DC Universe Classics. The most exciting among these new pics is an image that reveals the size of the collect-and-connect figure Solomon Grundy. He’s huge! Like, super-massive huge! I’m pretty delighted. I didn’t think we’d get BAFs that were this big in the DCUC line. This opens the door for a whole new set of possibilities where the C&C figure is concerned. There are also images of the packaged figures from wave 2 on the site, which leads me to believe these will be hitting store shelves pretty soon! w00t!

NECA TMNT is almost here! The first series includes all four turtles - Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michaelangelo. TNI has pics of each figure, so click here to check them out. They are done up in their first-appearance comic-accurate look - all featuring matching red sashes. I’m more familiar with the differentiated colors (as they appeared in the 80’s cartoon), but I think these look awesome either way. These are slated to hit some time in April, and you can preorder the set (or individual figures) at BBTS.com.

I know I’ve been kind of foaming at the mouth a bit about DC Universe Classics, but from what I’ve read on toy collectors forums I’m not the only one who is absolutely loving this line. Looking to keep up the momentum of fans’ enthusiasm, Mattel just keeps dangling tidbits of pics and info in our eager little faces. Here’s the latest set of promotional images they’ve put out for the next two waves. The Dark Knight is one of the most anticipated big summer movies of this year (along with Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk) and, naturally, with any big comic-book movie there will be toys. The Dark Knight will have a couple of different lines. The standard line will be true child-oriented action figures with lots of snap-on accessories and spring-loaded action features. The more interesting line is Mattel’s “hyper” series that will feature six-inch scale superarticulated figures sculpted by the Four Horsemen - the same guys who handle their outstanding DC Universe Classics line. The first couple of figures shown look really promising. I hope this line covers more than just The Dark Knight and gives us a few Batman Begins figures as well!

ToyNewsI has promo pics up of the sixth series of single carded figs from the GI Joe 25th Anniversary line. This wave includes Battle Armor Cobra Commander, Lt. Torpedo, and Sgt. Rock n’ Roll! All three figures are looking excellent so far as Hasbro just keeps churning out fantastic superarticulated versions of classic fan favorites in this line. So head over to TNI and scope all the pics!
