So, a few pics surfaced on the internets recently that show three of the figures presumably being released in Hasbro’s upcoming Hulk focused series of Marvel Legends. Allegedly, there will be two series of six figures each, with both series being packed with parts to complete the Fin Fang Foom BAF. That means you’ll have to buy 12 figs over several months to put together the big green dragon. Yikes. Below you’ll see pics of Doc Samson, and two of the Hulk variations to be included in these series.

I don’t want to get flak from collectors on here who think Hasbro is doing a really great job, but in terms of sculpt, paint, detail, and articulation - these look like Happy Meal toys. WTF Hasbro?! The first Hulk (who I think is “Son of Hulk”, but I don’t really read Hulk comics so I have no idea) is just a big lumpy mess. He’s very smooth and bulbous, and has none of the gritty Hulk-like detail we’ve seen in previous incarnations of the big green lug. Plus, he’s all wrecked up with that awful swivel-style articulation. The next Hulk is just as bad. The lack of paint makes his armored arm just look silly and cartoonish. Then there’s Doc Samson. He’s probably the best of the bunch but he still has terrible elbow artic and is lacking thigh cuts. No thigh swivel makes double knees useless. I’m really starting to think that Hasbro is intentionally trying to turn off collectors so they can just drop Marvel Legends and focus exclusively on Superhero Squad and movie toys. Eck.
