NECA TMNT Packaged Pics!
So, I don’t know if you guys have been keeping up with NECA’s TMNT line, but it’s really shaping up to deliver us the best superarticulated figures of the year. I’m not even that big of a fan of the turtles and I have to admit that these are looking jaw-droppingly awesome. The only knock I have against them is that they’re not out yet! But, I think we’re only about a month away from their release date at this point and TNI has posted a whole slew of excellent in-package pics. You can buy the four turtles either individually or all together in a box set. The individual figures come packed with display bases and a few extra accessories that you won’t get in the box set, so they’re the way to go for fans who “want it all”. Wow I love the baby turtle accesories! Also I see that Don comes with the ooze canister, but I can’t figure out what those blade things are that Raph comes with. Any ideas? I also noticed they each come with a spare hand. Any idea why?
yeah, i have no idea what those things are with Raph. I assumed they were just some random ninja weapon that i’m not familiar with.
i think they all come with a pair of hands that can hold their weapons, and then a swappable pair that are just in some kind of ninja-turtle-esque action pose.
As I understand it, the spare hands are fitted with shuko — ninja hand claws used for climbing, though they also had/have combat applications. They’ve been coming with TMNT figures for years, though until recently (thanks Google and Wikipedia!) I never had any idea what they were.
And according to NECA’s news page, those things that come with Raph are throwing knives… yep.
I’m even more partial to Don after seeing these pics — I love the calm expression and the fact that he comes with a TCRI canister. As if I don’t have enough of those lying around… but still!
I love those turtles im surely ill get the new figures, i was already happy with the ones from the movie, but these absolutly rocks, the one thing is that i would like them more with the cartoon bandanas colors…
