Battlestar Galactica Figs!
Did you guys know that Diamond Select Toys is making superarticulated Battlestar Galactica figures?! I didn’t until recently. In fact, it’s only been in the last couple of weeks that I started watching the show and I’m completely hooked. So, naturally, I just had to hunt down the figures. I’ve got pics and reviews up for the exclusives from Series 1 here. I’m anxiously awaiting the rest of Series 1 to arrive from CSC some time next week. Yay!

Yeah, I just saw those yesterday and was pretty impressed — I totally would’ve been down for one if I knew anything about Battlestar Galactica. That said, should they ever make one, my ignorance of the show will not stop me from picking up a superarticulated Grace Park (mmm…) figure.
Actually… one of the exclusives from series 2 is the cylon version of grace park’s character - so it’s basically just a street clothes grace park figure. the only problem is that the face doesn’t really capture grace’s unending sexy cuteness…
Well, that’s unfortunate… though admittedly effectively capturing Grace Park’s cuteness in an action figure sculpt is probably impossible to do. Still, I’d probably down for any decent-looking superarticulated female figure! Got any links to pictures of the series 2 exclusive?
But of course!
Here’s TNI’s gallery of DST’s BSG stuff from the last Toy Fair. Grace Park is “New Caprica Sharon” on the top right. Unfortunately, these are unarticulated 2-ups, but when I get pics up of the Caprica Six figure from Series 1 you’ll have an idea of what kind of artic she should have.
Cool — I’ll look forward to seeing how the articulation works on Six, then. And yeah, that doesn’t look like Grace Park at all. She’d make a good stand-in for Detective Yin, though. That D’Anna Biers figure looks quite a bit like Michelle Pfeiffer, too (it’s admittedly a decent Lucy Lawless likeness, but the more pronounced cheekbones and slightly narrower chin scream Pfeiffer to me), so perhaps she’d work as a Selina Kyle figure.
Actually, I quite like all of the femmes from this second series. Hm…
