Let’s Help Save Attacktix!
Admittedly, I don’t really know what Attacktix is and I didn’t bother to google it. I guess it’s some kind of heroclix type board game? In any event, I received an email from the fans of Attacktix asking me (as the prestigious administrator of an oh-so-awesome toy news site) to spread the word about their petition to save this line, which apparently has been put on “hiatus” by… you guessed it, Hasbro!
Now I’m always sensitive to the plight of fans who drum up these online petitions. I know the disappointment of having one of your favorite toy lines canceled (or put on hiatus), so I always take the time to add my name to the list when I see these things. I personally don’t really think any number of signatures makes a difference to the big toy manufacturer’s decision makers, but at least it shows that collectors care about the properties we invest in. So, for that reason, I’d encourage each of you to take a minute to add your names to this petition to help out the cause of the Attacktix faithful! (Note - when you sign the petition you’re taken to a donation page. Just disregard that. It’s an automated thing brought up by the site that facilitates the petition and doesn’t have anything to do with the Attacktix guys.)
Heck, they even went to the trouble of putting together this informative and entertaining youtube video:

Good on you for helping out their cause! Though admittedly I can see why Hasbro would put Attacktix on hiatus — they’re famously found in the clearance sections of Toys ‘R’ Us and Wal-Mart and have their own static endcap at Five Below. It seems like hardly anybody buys the things, and that fact probably means more to Hasbro than all of the signatures in the world.
Ya never cared for Attackix but if I did I’d be like these guys. Is the game based on knocking over the other guys figs?
