More DCUC Waves 4 & 5 Pics!
Nope, still no pics of Hawkman or Mr. Miracle, but Action-Figure.com has posted a couple of new galleries of Waves 4 and 5. Wave 4 is Wonder Woman, Artemis (variant of WW), Batman Beyond, Cyborg, Captain Atom (w/ gold variant) and Ares with the Despero BAF. See great pics of those here. Wave 5 (Wal-Mart exclusive) is Eradicator, The Riddler, Black Lightning, The Atom and Amazo, with the Metallo BAF. Those pics are here. It’s been a slow news week, so I figured I’d link these up since I know we’re all pretty psyched for the upcoming figs in this line and you can never ogle enough production pics of new toys! So… enjoy!

Droolworthy! Though with all of the Botcon coverage last weekend, I may have to scale back on these guys in order to fir some of those swanky new Transformers into the budget.
Definitely on board for the Riddler and the Atom, though!
they look real nice. i am leaning alot toward these figures, but i don’t have enough shelf space as it is. good report!
I love the smirk on the Riddler’s face! Perfect! Atom looks wonderful as well and so does Captain Atom. Well really they all look great lol.
transformers, wes? pffft. how could a car that turns into a robot even begin to compare to a superarticulated superhero action figure? how?!
Hey, man, those robots are superarticulated! How’s about putting up a Transformers banner right next to the GIJoe one up there? Re: space…I just spent a week clearing out a big section of my basement that is unfinished (trashing and donating old stuff; putting up a bunch of wire supply shelves that I got at Target for $15 a pop.) Phase 2 is to put up a whole row of 5 shelf bookcases along one of the walls. I think Lowe’s has the bigger bookcases for $60 a pop. I dunno. One a month maybe. Most of my stuff is in boxes in the boilerroom. Ridiculous.
wow Rich, the basement sounds cool. I’d love to have an actual house with a basement. i live in a two bedroom apartment with a roommate. i have one small set of shelves with figs on them, and then a bunch of rubbermaid tubs stacked in the storage closet that hold the rest of my figs.
SAG: What Rich said — Transformers are superarticulated too! I just picked one up today ($6.99 movie deluxes at Target; hurry before they’re all gone), actually, and it has… 26 points of articulation (that are useful for posing the robot; more are involved in the transformation), nine of which are true balljoints. And he turns into a dune buggy! Given your love of articulation, I’m surprised you’re not more into Transformers, actually — granted, it wasn’t always this way, but these recent releases have been all about poseability.
I Think the ones transformers worthy of money are the master pieces (Optimus Prime is the best figure ever, and is the first thing i saw when i wake up…yeah im not married yet) and the alternators (and yet, there is a lot of repaint). a Optimus Prime with mouth???? blasfemy!!!. im thinking seriously to get the 25 anniversary Gi-Joe´s boxs sets, but not sure yet, just have till saturday to choose because there is just a set of both. and i cant wait to have the atom and cyborg!!!!!!!
yeah, i know… transformers are awesome too. i actually bought pretty much all of the main movie tformers and they are pretty darn poseable. but i just don’t have the space or money for them. that leader class movie optimus was one heck of a toy though…
Man… that Batman Beyond figure and Riddler figure are enough for me to collect this whole line! I can’t wait!
Yeah, alot of stuff gets rotated into my display areas in the finished part of my basement rec room. Putting stuff up in any other part of the house incurs a low WAF- Wife Acceptance Factor. My Palisades Muppets are on permanent display. Lately, Star Wars 30th figures and Masterpiece Transformers/Alternators/TFAC Joes have been pulling a long shelf time. I gotta boogey and get my Mezco Hellboys and ML IronMen up. And make room for all these smokin’ DCUC and (fingers crossed) MOTU Classics.
lol, Rich WAF… my girlfriend twist her eyes every time i show her a new line or action figure that i look forward to buy (at less its wonder woman related…you know girl power and all that crap). but i think we are lucky having fine women without stupids prejudges, thats actually something really hard to find, even more that a ML destriyer variant or a DC Heroes cyborg supes…. (LOL what a geek i am)
Luckily my girlfriend is into comics and video games so I don’t have to worry about that kknd of stuff. She doesn’t have as many figures as me but she does have a number of Toy Biz Marvel Legends lol, even some I don’t have like The Punisher! We plan to get married after we finish college (so that we can afford to be independent), at which point our house will be totally geeked out. Action figures/Movie posters in every room of the house lol. She just thinks my Neca Ghostbusters Terror Dogs are creepy lol. Speaking of which, I can’t find that 15” Roto Stay-Puft for sale anywhere! Lol.
DUdes!!!! i know this is not a movie web, but i cant help it: i just saw Iron-Man and is freaking outstanding boombalistic awesome!!!!! and dont go till the credits are over, there is a juicy cameo at the end that is gonna give you a geekgasm!!!!!
Ha ha! “WAF”. I’m gonna add that to the acronym glossary!
Mr. Cooltoy, you bring up a good point. Iron Man is worthy of its own thread. I’ll throw up a quick post so we have a place to discuss it.
One Word on the DCUC….exquisite. XD
