Superarticulated… Alien!
So, now that we’re in the era of making every action figure as poseable as possible, we’re seeing a lot of interesting properties pop up with superarticulated figures - like the recent TMNT and BSG and Ninja Gaiden figs and what-not. And now NECA has busted out with a super-poseable Alien figure that stands 9″ tall and boasts 20 points of articulation! I’m pretty darn impressed with this thing. NECA is fast becoming one of my new favorite toy companies! See more pics at NECA’s site.

SAG… On the site I saw 7″. Am I looking at the wrong thing? I couldn’t see much in the way of articulation I guess because of the lighting in those shots and the detail of the creautre which looked very nice. Am I lazy or did I also not see a price? Any ideas? I haven’t been to Cornerstore yet today maybe they are already preselling. Nope I didn’t see it there. Oh well It dose look good.
yeah, it’s 7″ scale, but the aliens are taller than humans, so the figure itself is 9″ tall. I don’t know the price either. I’m not sure exactly when/where this will be available. It says “begins hitting store shelves by the end of this month” so I’d bet CSC and BBTS will get preorders up for it soon.
Yeah, in the pics it’s tough to see the artic. I’d like to see some stock studio photography of it. But I’m seeing ball and socket shoulders and hinged elbows and knees. It looks like it might have a v-crotch. I’m betting some of those points of articulation are in the tail and the head/face/jaw. In any event, it’s probably the best looking Alien toy i’ve seen so far.

I have V from V for Vendetta, Kratos from God of War, AVP2 Predator and Altair from Assassin’s Creed. They are amazing figures, I just wish V and Predator had more articulation to them.
