Even More Iron Man Repaints!
Wow. Well, when Hasbro commits themselves to milking a license of every repaint possible, they don’t half ass it! As if the four different Iron Man variants (and two different Iron Mongers) we got in the first series weren’t enough, Hasbro has now released images of three more color schemes of the Mark III armor that will be hitting store shelves this summer. I can’t say I’m too excited about any of these. Captain America Iron Man paint job? Did we really need that? MarvelousNews has the pics.

Hey, I just read online that people are finding the series 1.5 cases at Kohls. These are the ones that have Titanium Man and the newer (better) Iron Monger. I don’t frequently visit my local Kohls, but I figured I’d toss out the heads up for those who do.
Thanks for the heads up, SAG — I don’t generally visit Kohls either, but I’ll have to make it a point to swing by there now. And as far as those repaints go, I admit to being fairly into the satellite armor figure! And if one really felt like he/she needed a Blue Beetle stand in for your DCSH/DCUC collection, that stealth armor repaint could do the trick nicely.
I always regretted not getting the blue Stealth Armor that Toy Biz had as a variant so I want to want this one and you are right Wes the Satellite look is cool. I really want the Titanium Man though. I do not know how I feel about the Capt. America paint job…
I finally broke down and got the first Iron Monger but I was not going to because I also thought the 2nd seemed better. SAG; what makes you say the 2nd is better. Is it cause you think the legs will move better? That was the main thing I believed but then I thought with the removeable piece what if the head does not move? Do you know for sure about why the 2nd Iron Monger is better cause I do not want to buy it now that I have the first.
I don’t know if there are Kohls where I live…
Here is another problem with the whole oil cost and toy cost relation; why would they make 6 variants of the same mold? Or at least why would they not make different figures like Red Dynamo or whatever his name is…or a Blu Beetle… I know the cost of making molds usually is enough to excuse the absence of more variety in a series but…oh whatever.
yeah, i say the 2nd Monger is “better” because (I’m assuming) it has better artic in the hips since it doesn’t have the action feature that the first version had. I could be wrong about that though. i guess i should wait and see before i start proclaiming its articulation virtues…
In all fairness the cap armor did happen but I’m pretty sure cap wore it and it wasn’t just a repaint of starks armor. Having said that though, I just can’t bring myself to buy any of these at ten bucks a pop when dcuc (which I finally got my case of) is the same price.
The second Monger is going to be better because it has an opening cockpit with “The Dude”s head in it. The Dude!!! The Big Lebowski!! Doesn’t get better then that. When I give my 5 year old an Iron Man figure the first thing he tries to do is remove the mask to reveal Tony Stark’s face. Iron Men + Removable helmet = Perfect. If you want a Blue Beetle I recommend hunting down the DC Direct First Appearance Blue Beetle. It rocks it 7 ways to Sunday and can probably be found for under $10. Even the stealth version of that DC Direct figure is awesome. The stealth Iron Man repaint looks pretty good. Pretty, pretty good. But we’ll let SAG sort these out for us when they come out. That’s why we’re all here.
Yeah, I got the DC Direct First Appearance Blue Beetle ($6.88 at FYE — they still had tons of them when I was there today — and Corner Store Comics has it for $5 as part of its DC Total Annihilation sale), but I suggested something involving this one because I know how much of an articulation junkie SAG is.
Kohls was empty today, but my eyes will remain peeled.

I’m gonna need the Cap America Armour and the Stealth I guess…maybe the satellite armour…I really do love Iron Man…so i think the repaints are cool. Yeah Iron Monger 2…definately need him…as well as titanium man…Villians are always cool…Maybe they will make a Movie style CRIMSON DYNAMO…that would rock.
DCUC Wave 3…yes…a shipping date would be nice…
They should even repaint Iron Monger into Hulkbuster Iron Man.
not a fan of repaints at all but seriously,that cap america iron man is awesome,but over here on ireland the chances of me seeing it are slim to none!
