Well, the results are in and the verdict is… Target sucks! Yesterday we had a confirmed sighting of Walmart’s exclusive series of Marvel Legends and they retail for a whopping $10.96. That is a much more reasonable price increase than Target’s scalperish $14.99 price for their own exclusive series.
This series includes Kang, Crossbones, Iron Man (Heroes Reborn), Human Torch, Guardian, Vision, Ultimate War Machine, and Ben Riley Spider-man. At 10.96 I’ll probably pick up a few figs from this wave. I may not complete the BAF but I’m definitely in for Kang, Guardian and Crossbones. Here’s to Walmart for not totally screwing over their customers! Hooray!

MarvelousNews.com has loose and carded pics of the first series of figs from Hasbro’s upcoming 3 3/4″ Marvel Universe line. I know I’ll get lambasted for saying anything negative about Hasbro or Marvel, but in looking at the loose pics I am not impressed. Some of the figs look okay (Iron Man, Daredevil) whereas others look kind of crappy (Punisher, Human Torch). Eh. Check ‘em out and see what you think.

DCUC Waves 4 and 5 have been sprinkling retail shelves for a few weeks now, but I have yet to see hide nor hair of any of them. (Or Wave 3, for that matter). I know we have a lot of DCUC posts on the site already, but I figured it’d be good to have one central location for us to post when and where we’re finding these things. So, post your DCUC sightings here! (more…)

Spawn.com has put up some images of the next few releases expected to come out as part of McFarlane Toys Halo 3 line next year. The 2009 line-up is chock full of new variations on the Spartan armor as well as different Elite combat versions. The first wave of ‘09 is labeled as “Equipment Edition” and each fig is hooked up with new, unique weapons and armament. You can see pics of those figs here.
What has me personally very excited is the announcement (and promo shots!) of the deluxe sized Hunters that are also coming early next year. These classic menaces from the game stand about 8″ tall and feature more than 20 POA! W00t! I’ll definitely be in for a pair of these beasts! See the pics here.

DCUC.info has packaged pics of the upcoming Toys R Us exclusive 2-Packs from DC Universe Classics. The sets are Orion and Lightray, Batgirl and Azrael, Hal Jordan and Abin Sur, and Cyborg Superman with Mongul. This was a good way for Mattel to re-release some of the harder to find old DCSH figs like Azrael and Cyborg Supes. But I’m not too keen on having to buy a duplicate of a figure already released in DCUC just to get a hold of the unique figs of Lightray and Abin Sur. Oh well… such is the plight of the store-exclusive two-pack. Scope the pics here.
