Hellboy Hellboy Hellboy!

I’ve gone buck wild with the Hellboy toys of late… You can see my reviews of some of the older figs from the first movie line here.

And I’ve also picked up the animated Hellboy figs from Gentle Giant and reviewed them here.

And what’s in the mail for next week? That’s right. Comic Hellboy figures…

I have the sickness…

Superarticulated Updates

I got my TheFwoosh.com exclusive Seventh Kingdom Anitherian Nine Four Horsemen red elephant the Club of Thraugnn in the mail yesterday. Pics are now abounding in the indie section.

I also picked up a trio of what may well be my favorite action figures of all time this week! They’re the first assortment of Final Fantasy VII Game Edition figures from Play Arts… and man alive am I lovin’ these toys! Click over to the indie section to my gushing, nonsensical review.

Incredible Hulk Movie Figs

Yeah, I know. I’m a sucker.

The excitement of seeing the film totally made me pick up Hulk and Abomination figs from the movie line. And you know what? They’re actually not that bad… See m’thoughts in the Marvel section.

Superarticulated Updates

I’ve added a couple of reviews today. I picked up the new Iron Monger from the Iron Man movie line last night and you can see his pics and write-up in the Marvel section.

EDIT - Got Titanium Man this morning! So you can find him in the Marvel section now too!

I also finally got a hold of the one of the Four Horsemen’s Seventh Kingdom Anitherian Nine figures - The Gauntlet of Vaskkh (the ActionFigureExpress exclusive Rhino). You can see his pics and review in the Indie section.

I picked up The Dark Knight Movie Masters figs this morning and have pics and reviews up in the DC section.

I also (finally) updated the TMNT post with pics of Raph and Don. You can see those here.

And I got a hold of the variant modern Aquaman from DCUC2. I’ll be adding him to DCUniverseClassics.com some time today (whenever LunarPages decides to let me connect to the server. heh.)

Battlestar Galactica Figs!

Did you guys know that Diamond Select Toys is making superarticulated Battlestar Galactica figures?! I didn’t until recently. In fact, it’s only been in the last couple of weeks that I started watching the show and I’m completely hooked. So, naturally, I just had to hunt down the figures. I’ve got pics and reviews up for the exclusives from Series 1 here. I’m anxiously awaiting the rest of Series 1 to arrive from CSC some time next week. Yay!

More McF Halo 3 Awesomeness!

mcfarlane halo 3 figuresI’ve updated the site with more pics and reviews of the first series of Halo 3 figures from McFarlane Toys. There are lot of armor and color variants on the Spartans, and now I’m all caught up! You can see pics of the Blue and Steel CQBs, the Red EVA, and the White MARK VI here.

Also, I found this really neat article on the Bungie site. (Bungie is the software company that produces the Halo video games). The article is an interview by Bungie with McFarlane, walking through the entire toy making process, step by step. It’s a really neat read for anyone who is interested in how an action figure line shapes up - from conception, to licensing, to sculpting, to production. Check it out!

McFarlane Halo 3 Action Figures

So, these new McFarlane Halo 3 figures nearly slipped under my radar for a couple of reasons. 1. I don’t ordinarily buy McFarlane Toys. I think they’re great, and I’ve picked up the stray Spawn figure here or there, but for the most part, McF figs are un-articulated and I’m just not into “staction figures” (statue/action). 2. I’ve never played any of the Halo games, and really didn’t even realize these existed until I saw them on the pegs at Wal-Mart. But, after giving them a try, I fell in love. The Halo 3 figs are true superarticulated action figures - each boasts upwards of 30 POA! Check out my full post and review in the Indie toys section here.
